Visited my Hometown!

Here comes my post after a long gap of around a month...I was preoccupied by my Semester End Examination and after that I went home(for which i was waiting since long time).
The day for which I was waiting for a long time finally came- the 12th of January. The last exam paper for 3rd Semester.I had Engineering Mathematics-III paper that day and a train to Howrah on the same day.The journey was enjoyable as lots of my college mates were together with me till Howrah Station.I had a break journey so had to wait for my train to NJP for around 8 hours. Finally after a journey for 3 days I reached home on 15th January. This time my plans were different. From NJP I went to visit Mirik. My earlier visit to Mirik was long back in 2000(when I was in 5th Standard).I was amazed to see the beautiful lake (Sumendu Lake) surrounded throught by Cryptomeria Japonica trees.Boating is not allowed nowdays in the lake but still you will be able to do a horse ride(there are around 30 horses).I still feel the cool breeze and those beautiful moments of the Mirik lake.I reached home on 15th night! This time I had only 6 days of time to stay in Sikkim.I met my friends, went to visti my relatives, enjoyed the "gundruk bhat",witnessed cricket tournament(our cricket team had reached final) and did lots of other things too.And ofcourse it was "Makar Sakranti" mood all over Sikkim when I was home,so how could I miss the Jorethang Mela? For the first time in my life I went to witness the mela in Jorethang. When the name Jorethang comes in mind-only two things I remember- Jorethang Mela and 'the only planned town in Sikkim'.The Mela was very well organized..The most interesting part in the Mela were the stalls-the different stalls for different communities, people in their traditional dress..it was more like a house than a stall...containing traditional foods and lot more traditional items.
In the midst of the enjoyment I had to leave from home for a new begining-a brand new semester which was waiting me there at M.S.R.I.T

Few photos I took with my so called "great nokia 3110c 1.3 megapixels"!!
